Ghost represents the new generation of engravings obtained by combining for the first time two different engraving techniques, chemical and mechanical, combining the benefits of both of them. The name “Ghost” recalls the particular shape of the points similar to a “ghost sheet.” The profiles of the engravings have been softened, resulting less sharp and aggressive on paper. This allows to reduce the loss of resistance that normally occurs during the embossing phase using traditional rhombus points. In addition, the new technology allows to obtain a better hand-feel compared with conventional mechanical engravings that have an equal density of points, ensuring a high bulk. Ghost is ideal for all high-yield products with refined embossing but is at the same time resistant, bulky and featuring excellent softness, independently from the number of plies and for every product type: toilet paper, kitchen towel and away from home segments.
– Better bulk compared to other engravings with similar characteristics
– Better resistance to compression
– Less embossing pressure required
– Better rubber roll cover lifetime
